Established in 1989, the Los Angeles Pacific College (LAPC), originally started as a computer study centre, marking a rich journey into becoming a much sought-after higher educational institution. It secured its distinguished accreditation from the California State Bureau for Private Secondary Education in 2002, presenting a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Since then, LAPC has been providing certificate and diploma courses, in addition to ESL (English as a Second Language) programs for international students. LAPC built its reputation on the principles of individual approach and nurturing a multicultural community. Acknowledging the uniqueness of each student's talent and capabilities, the college tailors its curriculum to enable them to achieve their academic and future career goals.

Being functional in more than 11 cities, these organizations work towards workforce development and employment planning. LAPC expressly defines the expectations of modern employers, which in turn aids in the constant enhancement of its curriculum. Furthermore, the college organizes worthwhile sessions with successful representatives from various American businesses and industries. When the clock struck the year 1941, religion-minded ministers of the British Columbia and Yukon District of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada convened. They were deep in thought, troubled by the youth longing to serve God and the Christian ministry, but lacking a proper institution for the preparation. The solution? A college. Once the official board of Glad Tidings Tabernacle of Victoria extended an invitation, the British Columbia Bible Institute, now known as Summit Pacific College, swung open its doors that very same year. We owe its foundation to the Rev. Ernie W. Robinson, who was the first President.
Decade elapsed, and a pressing need for an independent campus and residences spurred the college to relocate. In 1951, North Vancouver became the institute’s fresh soil. Soon after, in 1962, British Columbia Bible Institute evolved into the Western Pentecostal Bible College. Although there was constant progress, by this time, the growing institution began to feel the confines of its urban locality.
By 1966, the seeds were sowed for the expansion. Although it was not until 1971, the college found its new home. The construction began shortly in 1973, and by 1974, the college moved into its new campus. The foundations comprised the Eric A. Hornby Memorial Academic Building, the William J. Friesen Residence, and the Ernie W. Robinson Dormitory, but renovation was already underway by 1977 and 1979.
The horizon of 1983 brought with it new plans from the college's governing bodies. The “Nehemiah Project” was supposed to welcome new buildings to the campus. But reality held back the aspirations. Lack of raised funds led to the new dormitory’s delay until 2001.
Return to 1999, where the Ernie W. Robinson Dormitory was ready for an upgrade. The college took up a proposal for a new residence building, transforming the capacity from housing 100 students to 140. Two years later, in 2001, the proud L. T. Holdcroft Residence stood tall and continues to do so today.
Heralding 2004, a new auditorium took shape, named after Phil and Jennie Gaglardi, replacing its forerunner, the P.S. Jones Memorial Auditorium (1979). If you're wondering, the former auditorium found a new purpose, becoming a church building for the Christian Life Community Church.
Bringing our journey to 2010, where the Eric A. Hornby Memorial Academic Building underwent a transformation. In its fold, it also welcomed a new academic wing, the Revival and Learning Centre.
Running through the last decade, every edifice of the college has been diligently looked after. The buildings house safety and conducive learning conditions. And finally, in 2023, the college decided to part ways with Trinity Western University. It chose its own teaching faculty, ushering into the era of independence.
