A stellar example of great minds coming together like Chole and Bhature (a delightful Indian dish!), it was the hard work of Augustinians, alongside Bishop Coleman F. Carroll, that brought the university to life.
Now, gliding further down memory lane, let's talk about the first chorus in this university's grand symphony. In the very first year, it was Mr. Edward D. McCarthy who wore the badge of the first rector and president. Around these times, it was a men's college with (now hold your horses!) just 57 students!
