It all began in 1926, when a bloke called Henry F. Hall decided to create an institution, unlike any others. He envisioned a haven for continued learning, calling it Loyola College, oddly enough after a Spanish saint. Now don't let the complicated terms and scholarly gowns scare you; what this really means, in our terms, is that Uncle Henry started an exceptional college offering advanced education!
Jump to 1974, Loyola College and another impressive institution, Sir George Williams University gave a friendly nod to each other and merged, yes, you heard right, merged! This was the birth of the Concordia University we know and love today. When two powerful educational forces come together, you know it’s like a delectable Indian biryani mixed with the warmth of Canadian maple syrup panache.
And oh boy, did Concordia grow! Just like a consistently watered tulsi plant, it grew leaps and bounds. By 1992, our beloved Concordia had established four faculties, stuffed with subjects ranging from arts and science to the complexities of business lingo. Our friends from arts and media aren't left behind either with a fabulous slew of courses in cinema, journalism, and whatnot!
