Bernier, thought "Why not make a space that's gonna flip the lid on traditional learning?" So, there and then, with nothing more than dedication in their hearts and a sparkle in their eyes, these education mavens kick-started their dream.
In it's early days, Georgian College was a smart cookie with just 475 bright-eyed students, nipping on the heels of higher education. With just 5 student-oriented programs, the college gears were really grinding. Being a debutant, it faced many hurdles but it did not let these speed bumps slow it down. It rolled with the punches and pushed on like a locomotive in full swing.
By 1972, only five years into its journey, the college greased its engine and saw a mighty growth spurt. It launched the co-op program, making a massive splash in the educational pool and magnetizing 1000's of students. What a smart move, huh?
