His imaginative and resourceful mind came up with an innovative idea of starting a network of colleges to help the local community. This 'neighbourhood' concept, visionary as it was, led to the birth of Centennial College, tucked quaintly in Scarborough, a warm, inviting suburb of Toronto, Canada.
Believe it or not, Centennial College was, no kiddin', the first community college in Ontario! Talk about being a trailblazer. In its tiny humble beginnings, it sparkled with just 514 students.
