Our story begins at the King Edward Centre, filled with the buzzing excitement of the first Langara College courses and programs being offered. This important academic venture was a part of the larger Vancouver City College. But soon, it was destined to carve out its own identity.
Five years later, in 1970, Langara moved to a new address - the West 49th Avenue. It became their very own campus. Little did they know, this place would host countless hopes and dreams, nourishing young minds for over 50 years and counting. 2019 marked their 49th anniversary — a milestone celebrated with deep respect and pride.
Things took a crucial turn on April 1, 1994. On this day, Langara College spread its wings as it was established as an independent public college.
