History UK College of Business and Computing

So, let’s dive right in, shall we? Once upon a time, grabbing the year 2003 by its tail, a great idea was born in the heart of the gorgeous United Kingdom, known to many as the UK College of Business and Computing. A mastermind goes by the name of Richard Welford was knee deep in thought one day, scratching his impeccably trimmed beard, and bingo! 'Why don’t I open- up a college that offers high-quality, practical business education?' Good old Richie thought, and thus, our star – UKCBC – was set into orbit.

Just picture it, the early days were a riot, much like trying to juggle water balloons but Richie and his allies didn’t let any obstacles ruffle their feathers. They kick-started with a modest cohort of 17 students in 2004. Back then, who’d have thunk it'd grow to accommodate a staggering 3000 whizz-kids from across the globe within a decade?

Not just basking in their glory, oh no siree! The folks at the UKCBC knew all too well, 'all work and no play could make anyone a dull boy'! So, in the swingin' Summer of 2011, they pulled a rabbit out of their hat, unveiling a brand-new campus in extravagant London. Talk about bridging the gap to high-quality education for international students, huh?

You know what they say, 'There’s no elevator to success, you’ve gotta take the stairs'. The UKCBC rightfully embraced this, steadily introducing a lineup of diverse courses by 2013. It proved to be a red-letter day when they became approved to offer Level 4 and Level 5 Higher National Diploma (HND) courses, adding another feather to their already well-decorated hat.

Now, we all love when the plot thickens, don’t we? Well, this is where our adventure gets somewhat bumpy, with a tinge of spice. In 2014, they part ways with the dear ol' Richie. And, it might have been a bitter pill to swallow, but the show, as they say, had to go on. Onwards and upwards they soared!

Now, buckle up buttercups! Here’s when our 'little engine that could' really started to chug along. In 2016, they expanded once more, hoisting high their flag in fabulous Holborn and reborn Cricklewood; their campuses now touching a count of five, bringing a kaleidoscope of cultures under a single rood.

The unfolding story was nothing short of inspiring. Students flocking from all corners of the Earth, including our homeland – India – found a home here, a place to carve their nascent dreams, all thanks to our pals at the UKCBC. It was, as they say, a match made in student-college heaven.

Talk about an encore that stole the show! In 2018, they spread their wings all the way out to Dubai, offering the same top-notch education for our middle-eastern friends. Now, isn’t that just the icing on top of an already incredibly delectable cake?

And that, my friends, sums up the unyielding journey of achievement and resilience that UKCBC has beautifully etched across the 21st century. I say, dear folks, harrowing as the journey may have seemed, the UK College of Business and Computing stood tall and proud, emblematic of an unwavering commitment and an unwavering passion for education.

Now, isn't this an incredibly riveting tale, you ask? Indeed, it is! So why not be a part of it? After all, as they say, a change is as good as a holiday. Come and dip your toes in the empowering waters of the UKCBC and whip up a history of your own!
