In 1896, out of the bustling heart of London, a brave soul by the name of Sir John Cass formed a foundation, now known as the Sir John Cass’s Foundation. He was famously known as the Beethoven of the educational world—always composing ingenious solutions. Dedicating himself to providing education for the teeming population of London, the foundation went on to become the Sir John Cass College.
Round about the same time, in 1896, Northern Polytechnic Institute was aloft. It was like the Taj Mahal of educational institutions back in the day.
