That's when a handful of good folks, a group of educated city dwellers from India, came together with a dream - a dream stronger than the taste of India's spiciest curry. The dream: to build a learning hub - what we today call a 'college.'
The path was bumpy, like a crowded Indian Monsoon night. 1858 was the year when the first brick was laid, and the foundation of the City College sprang into existence, quite literally! The college started off initially with just a single building, holding a modest headcount of barely 70 students and 4 steely-determined tutors.
Fast forward 15 years, years that zoomed past quicker than a sizzling hot tandoori platter at a Punjabi wedding. It was in 1873, City College raised its first graduate flag with Mr. Rajeev Bharadwaj, who aced his Bachelor’s. What a rockstar, eh?!
