Originally christened as Shaw School of Business, it formed the humble beginnings of what we know today as Husson University. Quite different from a business hub it's today, it had low enrollment numbers, yearning for students to walk through its modest corridors.
However, everything changed post World War II. The school, like a phoenix rising from the ashes, built an enviable reputation as a business school. Suddenly, the corridors were echoing with the footsteps of aspiring minds. And soon in 1953, a significant milestone was achieved.
It was in this pivotal year, the Legislature in Maine breathed life into its new persona, Husson College, empowering it to grant Bachelor of Science degrees. You can only imagine, how immensely impactful this transition must have been! And from there, it set it on a path to its most significant transformation to Husson University in 2008.
Then, began a frenzy of growth. Today, Husson University is a sprawling institution embracing four colleges and two schools.
