Fast forward a year, and we saw the institution adopt a new mantle, Agnes Scott Institute, as a sign of respect for the mother of George Washington Scott, the college's main benefactor. An eventful journey then led to its final transformation in 1906, to the Agnes Scott College; a renowned women's college that we know today.
