In the year 1817, he establishes the Society of Mary. But Father Chaminade's vision isn't confined to his homeland. Thirty-two years later, in 1849, a group of brave Marianist missionaries set sail for the United States, dedicating their lives to serving the educational needs of immigrant populations. Driven by their mission, they cross continents, set on creating a better future for thousands.
Fast-forward to September 1883. Eight Marianist priests have embarked on a journey, sailing across the vast Pacific to land in the island paradise of Honolulu. There, they lay the foundation of Saint Louis School. Today, this institution continues to kindle a love for learning in middle and high-school boys.
