She stirred the pot by marrying the contrasting ideas of academia and work. She introduced a revolutionary framework, Purpose-Centered Education, and as a result, Metropolitan College of New York (MCNY) was born.
Want a giggle? This wasn't its original name. Audacious Audrey started it as the Women's Talent Corps. Heck it was a time when only a few believed women could ace the professional world. But Cohen took the bull by the horns and made things happen.
Hurtling forward to a significant turning point, 1970. With an eye on democratising education, it was renamed as the College for Human Services.
