Now imagine Mr. Samuel Johnson, dressed in his colonial-era best, welcoming eight eager students as the college officially ignited its intellectual journey. Our very own desi, King George II of England, had given the green light for this endeavour. Talk about royal blessings!
A fun fact, now! The first stone that formed the foundation of the college was made not by Pharaoh but by a charismatic chap named Trinity Church. Why Trinity? Well, that was a secret only the Prime Minister, Mr. William Pitt, knew.
