Keen to leave a lasting legacy, his will encompassed a vision of anointed education. A circle of executors turned this dream into reality the following year, setting up a seminary in his honour.

As the years rolled by, the seminary, nestled near Cooperstown in Hartwick, secured further acknowledgment.
