It all started way back in 1863 when Bluemont Central College decided to pack up its books and graduate to a more "grown up" scene. That’s when the shifting gears of evolution churned Bluemont into Kansas State Agricultural College, quite a mouthful, eh?
Now, it wasn't a piece of cake making this transition. There existed a man, Isaac T. Goodnow, who fought through thick and thin to make it happen. Legend has it that he traipsed all the way to the Capital, facing numberless obstacles just to get the law changed. Talk about dedication, right?
