Here we go, once upon a time, in a land of peaches and pecans, Georgia Southern University got its tale underway. Now, don’t just yawn, there's a heck lot of fun stuff in here. Starting off, it was a balmy summer in the year 1906. Summer's being a bit notorious in India, we know how enduring it can be. Laying the first stone of what was then known as the First District Agricultural & Mechanical School, the folks had a mission - to make education available to the hardworking Georgian youths. We Indians value education above all, don't we?
Fast forward, eight eventful years later, 1914 made its mark in the Georgia Southern storyline. Filled with the vigor of youth and a deep desire to learn, the first students embarked on their academic journey in the transformed Georgia Normal School. Must have been a sight to see, a troop of young minds, buzzing with ideas and waiting to paint the world with the colors of their thirst for knowledge.
But they say change is the only constant, right? Just like how we in India shifted from celluloid films to Netflix and chill.
