Ponder upon this - California State University, fondly known as CSU, began its journey as a simple Minns' Evening Normal School in San Francisco. While it may not sound as grand as today's CSU, these humble beginnings sparked the foundation of an academic giant that would later sprout 23 campuses across the state.
Fast forward to 1862. Boom! The school had begun to bloom under the new name - California State Normal School. Here’s a fun tidbit. 'Normal schools', as they were known back then, were the cool, modern Teacher's colleges.
