You see, 14 Boston pharmacists, a group of visionaries you could say, started a foundation to elevate the profession of pharmacy. Their dream? A formal method of teaching their students the scientific principles of pharmacy was needed. Sure enough, the chemists' clubs of those times couldn't quite make the cut.
Now, they made no bones about the fact that they wanted rigorous and academic teaching in the field of pharmaceutical sciences, so they put their heads together and voila, the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy was born.
