Envision its roots seeded by the spiritually devoted Bishop John Neumann – later known as the Saint John Neumann, whose approval facilitated Anna Maria Boll Bachmann to lay the foundation of the Franciscan Sisters religious community. For more than a century, the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia found themselves growing in stature.
