Now, let's wind the clock forward a bit, to 1896. Rochester's School of Art showed up fashionably late, but as they say, better late than never! It boasted a jazzed-up curriculum that made heads turn and jaws drop - the first ripple in the giant wave of revolutionary arts education in the UK.
Fast forward to 1986, and a plot twist nobody saw coming! Several schools of art joined forces like bees to honey and took on a new name - Kent Institute of Art & Design. Talk about a power move.
